Tough field this morning and not training at the same level last year brought me down in the rankings this time. Oh well, life can be a tricky balance sometimes between work, family and hobbies. I'm still happy with the result even though I went out a bit too agressive and then died at mile 2. This was where the lack of overall mileage and intensity really showed up in a big way.  Sasha surprised me after mile 2 and passed me right before the big incline and opened up on me. I was able to reclose on the hill and get within 5 sec but lost him at mile 3 on the last .2 mile stretch and he reopened 10 secs on me. Oh well, maybe next time...

Way to run Steve, congrats on the 10th place, there were sure alot of fast runners there. Me and my son, Alexander (Falcon) ran it too

I didn't get to talk to you today, but I remember talking to you at the SLC track club 10K. One thing I really admired about you as I talked to you that day, was the importance of balance in your life! I wish I could run a 5K in 16:48 and be disappointed about it.
