AM-Easy 5 miles this morning. Sandy 7th east loop. No time just ran.

PM-Easy 5 easy miles on the Sandy Parkway trail. I'm having second thoughts on the Ogden race. I think if I don't run the 30k all out and treat it as another long run, I may have a shot at running another MARATHON! Yeah, I know it's a little nuts.. But I love it! I don't care what anybody thinks.

I hear you. Although my legs need a little longer (recovering slowly this time), I am mentally ready to race again!

I think in general if one doesn't completely empty their tank in a marathon, they are very capable of running another in 3-4 weeks. Based on your last 5k split, it doesn't look like you hit the Wall, so I think you could race another marathon really well!

Run the 30 K at a comfortable pace. What else would you be doing that day anyway? Ted and I are planning on picking you up tomorrow.

I ran 6 months in 6 months last year and my times decreased by each one. Except the

last one I was two minutes slower. It's possible to do well in 4 weeks. Your also in amazing shape.

When do the training runs start for the Ogden marathon. I'm sure there have already been several?

From ashman on Fri, Apr 27, 2007 at 20:41:35

I'm just riding the wave for right now. Listening to my body and continually working on getting a good solid long distance aerobic base. Later as the shorter distances become more frequent on the schedule I will do more event specific training such as 400s, 800s, etc.
