Congrats on the UAB position, I didn't realize that you got it! I hope that it is a good move for your career and for your family. When do you leave?

From Adam RW on Thu, Mar 07, 2013 at 10:23:11 from 155.101.152.123

Sorry I thought I mentioned that to you. This is a great career move. I'm very happy with the department and will have a great group to work with. That is part of all the crazy hours lately because I'm still taking care of things here but also trying to get stuff set-up. It is stressful on the family. Utah is such a great state to live in. But things are coming together. I think the next 2-3 months are going to be intense but then stuff should be set. My official start date is August 1st. The offer for the CC team for UVM is definitely extended to you and anyone else how is interested. I know we can only have four per team but if we could get two teams and split even PRs it would be great to have that feel of team competition at the race... Right now I'm 90% in. Just trying to figure out if this one additional thing on my plate will put me over the edge... :) Sometimes these distractions are the best and actually help me focus down on the work stuff.

UAB...? Univ of Alabama at Birmingham? Are you going to become a southerner like me?

From Adam RW on Thu, Mar 07, 2013 at 10:38:41 from 155.101.152.123

Yes I am. I'll have to get to some trail runs and meet up with you in the Appalachians.

From Jon on Thu, Mar 07, 2013 at 11:29:41 from 107.203.52.135

I'm planning to run Pinhoti 100 in Al- you should come do it, too!

From Adam RW on Thu, Mar 07, 2013 at 11:58:45 from 155.101.152.123

By November I should be settled in. Maybe a pacer? The start is only an hour from were I'll be living...

From Logan Fielding on Thu, Mar 07, 2013 at 12:59:48 from 205.126.188.66

Adam,

I am about 99% in for UVM for the CC team. I think it would be a great way to start off the summer. How much will it be? I need to double check with the wife.

From Adam RW on Thu, Mar 07, 2013 at 13:01:40 from 155.101.152.123

Logan, That's great. If we register by March 10th it is $98 per person on the team $109 after... We need two others for a team.

From Adam RW on Thu, Mar 07, 2013 at 13:03:55 from 155.101.152.123

Also, I hope to get a Provo local blogger involved and willing to host to save hotel costs, hint hint...

From allie on Thu, Mar 07, 2013 at 20:41:28 from 97.117.95.226

adam - thanks for the heads up about the UVM CC style team. i'll definitely spread the word, as it looks like it's time sensitive. i'm planning on doing the half, but not the full. must conserve energy for des news...

From Adam RW on Thu, Mar 07, 2013 at 20:54:44 from 67.171.121.150

Allie, It seems like I have two bites. I need one more. It seems like a number of people are doing the half. I think they have the CC teams for that as well. You should work on getting a team for that as well...

From Holt on Fri, Mar 08, 2013 at 10:10:33 from 204.113.55.41

Adam, I hadn't seen about your big move. Congrats! That will be great for you (I hope!). UV - maybe... I wonder how I will feel by then? Let me think about it a few days and get back to you.

From Adam RW on Fri, Mar 08, 2013 at 12:02:12 from 155.101.152.123

Registration goes up on the 10th. So I'd like to register tomorrow. I could sign up for the CC style and if you, Logan, and a fourth want to join later that works for me... Otherwise I could be a team of one :)
