Long run with a nice large group. It was a fun run and totally worth it but I pushed it too hard for how inconsistent my training has been. Did the way out with the whole group and then at the mill when the women broke off stayed with the larger group. That also happened to be when we started up hill and by the 7-eleven at the mouse of Big Cottonwood my gut said enough. After a pit stop I eased back into and caught up with Steve to finish off the run. We had a good conversation and helped each other as we attempt to figure out how to get back into it... As soon as I got home the girls were waiting at the door asking to go on a run so I went another mile or so with them (mostly walking). My knee was actually pretty angry with me later in the day but it was still worth it.

The girls wanting to go for a run had to be the highlight of that run! :-) Hope the knee doesn't become too much of an issue.

I think the next group run I'm going to set a 7:20 maximum average pace! It's probably more beneficial to be running for longer rather than faster at this point in base training.

I love that your girls enjoy running - they just want to be like their daddy!

It is amazing how much those two pick up on what mommy and daddy are doing.

It was a good run. I just pushed too far too fast. You'd think I'd know better by now. It was fun though.

When you get a group like that together, and everyone starts talking about races, its immediately ZOOOOOOMMMM off to the races!
