Today was flipped. The initial plan was to run tonight but after leaving lab at 10:30 pm last night I ended up swapping with Sandra our running times. I did a Memory Grove commute run in. Tired but got in. The weather was again beautiful. A busy day but more work tonight. Did stop by the expo to pick up my race number for Saturday on the way home. Looking at the half and full tables was so tempting while just picking up the 5K number...

Avg. 9:32 HR 140

Well I typically go into a 5K wanting to break 17 min. Obviously this can vary by the course but here is the course tool prediction for that. Course found here Crazy Legs 5K.

I didn't realize you were running! See you there!

From Adam RW on Thu, Oct 11, 2012 at 20:36:03 from 155.101.152.123

Back whenever Jake posted that he had registered a team I signed up. Not sure what I will do but we shall see. It has been a hectic week so I am going in anything but rested...

From Andrea on Thu, Oct 11, 2012 at 20:37:43 from 67.177.11.154

Well there's a killer 3% gradient for the mile so I wouldn't really expect an A+ time!

From Adam RW on Thu, Oct 11, 2012 at 20:39:01 from 155.101.152.123

That is insane I was just looking that to run a 17:00 the first mile is just over 6 and the next two just over 5... Not the ideal for pacing.

Memory Grove runs? That brings back memories.

From Adam RW on Thu, Oct 11, 2012 at 21:35:23 from 155.101.152.123

Very good. I laughed at that one.

Are you doing the 5K on Saturday?

Andrea, I posted a course estimate on the course tool. Link in today's entry.

From Jake K on Fri, Oct 12, 2012 at 08:44:35 from 155.100.226.191

If you think the 5K course is crazy, look at the half-marathon!

I guess they are definitely both negative split courses :-)

Something has to keep us honest, too many downhill screamers :)...

Check out the profile on a 10K I'm thinking about doing in a couple weeks.

That one is NET uphill, too. You get bonus points if you do that. I'm not sure what the bonus points are for - craziness? toughness? - but you'll get them :-)

From Adam RW on Fri, Oct 12, 2012 at 08:59:01 from 155.101.152.123

I'm 50/50 right now and it is only craziness. I little bit of insanity is good for you.
