sounds like the postdoc blues. I had those a lot. My PhD adviser warned me about them. hang in there!!

Actually it was that the guys replacing the carpet in my office (which I didn't know was even going to happen until 8:30 this morning when they showed up and told me I had to get all my stuff out) took some of my food, when I confronted them, of course they were like we didn't take it but since it was there before they came in and they were the only two in the office all day... It just really upset me.

The post-doc thing is getting more stressful. Especially now that I'm finally buckling down and trying to get myself faculty ready. It is also exciting though, I'm learning new things again and really like it. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Glad there is no hip pain. On a scale of 1-10 what is the knee pain? It's good that you keep doing the a mile on the TM - you can monitor your progress that way.

Triple level of aggravation about not knowing about moving your stuff until 8:30 this morning, and then having your drink/food go missing, and then knowing the culprit is one of the workers. (Maybe we should bring in some chocolate chip cookies for the workers tomorrow? We could substitute a bunch of salt for the sugar.)

I like your thinking but I'm finally getting over it. I definitely got too worked up, but it was the principle of the matter and how blatant they were walking around with the cans... Anyway it is over and I want to leave it at that.

My knee pain is not that bad. Only about a 3 but that is also why I'm keeping to the low mileage. Tomorrow I'll commute in and get the long run (2.5mi) :)...
