Did make it up early this morning. Did a run to Harvard from my hotel near Beacon Hill along Charles River. There were a lot of people out this morning and it was fun "racing" the crew teams. The extra bodies had me pushing. In the evening I did a walk along the Freedom Trial and then to the Long Wharf to see the nighttime skyline.

It has been enjoyable. It is nice to get to relax a little and learn new things. It's a diabetes meeting but covers all complications. I usually only study the heart so I learned a lot about what happens in the kidney, eye, etc. and I have to admit I like learning new things...

Hope the meetings are going well. Boston is a great town to visit, lots of things to see and do and it is very walker/runner/pedestrian friendly.

Overall it was good and I met my two primary goals of getting my data out there more and meeting the leader in my chosen topic of study. The latter will hopefully lead to future collaborations.
