Tried to get a little extra sleep. I think the last three months have gotten to me. When you get into something sometimes you don't even realize how long it has been going on and sometimes it is better not to know... At least the abstracts for the meetings were completed today. Now if I could just get this grant out of the way. It amazes me to think that there are researchers out there with multiple funded grants much larger than this one. I guess it is all based on experience and I'm definitely still learning. Stayed home to keep from lab distractions but many of them found me anyway... I guess I could close my e-mail but sometimes a little help to others is needed "now". I was able to eat both breakfast and lunch with the fam which is nice. Then a little bit ago I needed a break so ran some on the treadmill. Now back to it, the clock is ticking (tick-tock).

You need to step away from your work to re-focus so that's good. Your a great organizer and you schedule your time well. Give your stress to God and mind to God when you set down and start to write the grant. I guarantee it will become easier.

There's times where I give my 1,000 lines of computer code, "where there's a problem", I'm having difficulty finding and I give it to God, and every time I ask for his help I always find the solution.

I realize your grant is time consuming and takes so much deep thought and concentration. Ask God to direct your thoughts and keep you focused.

Your doing the right thing by stepping away and I think little distractions are good (I really mean little little distractions), because it does help you to re-focus and think about what your working on and give you more ideas and thoughts. When I go out running there's several times where I've solved work related problems during the run. This little break/distraction helped.

Have a great weekend and I'll definitely pray for your grant progress.

What wonderful advice. "Let go and let God" has helped me through a lot.

Thanks all. Things are moving along. Hopefully in the right direction. I took some time off the last ~24hrs and it feels good. Helped to clear the mind. Started the break with a run and just finished the break with a run.
