Personal:

Married for 44 years to a wonderful and supportive wife. She's run 2 marathons herself in our earlier years so that helps.  4 boys, all married, and 10 grandchildren.  2 sons are runners. I celebrated 39 years of running madness, insanity, or at least OCD, on August 23rd, 2021.

5 miles at 5:05 a.m. solo in 45:18.  9:05 average pace.  Easy pace until a more moderate pace last mile.  A bit of a case of Billy-territis set it in.  That's my name for the condition that happens when you see someone out ahead of you and you just have to catch and pass.  Named after my old running friend Billy-bob Terry.  Extremely warm for an early morning run.  Near 80 on my thermometer.  Light wind helped when the shirt came off.  An unsightly scene, I'm sure.

Billy-territis. Awesome. Good luck tomorrow on your 5k.

Are you running any local race tomorrow there in the heat of AZ?

From Burt on Fri, Jul 02, 2010 at 19:05:38 from 206.19.214.144

Nope. Every year ARR does a 4 mile run on the 4th, but since it's on Sunday this year, not gonna happen.

You can come up and do ours tomorrow morning if you want.
