Personal:

Married for 44 years to a wonderful and supportive wife. She's run 2 marathons herself in our earlier years so that helps.  4 boys, all married, and 10 grandchildren.  2 sons are runners. I celebrated 39 years of running madness, insanity, or at least OCD, on August 23rd, 2021.

Taking at least 2 weeks off from running for possible ITB problem.  Recommended not to cycle or do elliptical as well.  Only swimming, which I probably won't do.

6:15 p.m.  3 x 15 x 7 machines at the gym for light upper body weight reps.

Went to the doctor today. Good & bad news. Essentially an ITB issue, but causing patellofemoral malalignment. The ITB has caused my knee cap to not ride smoothly in the groove of the femur. More P.T. starting on Friday. The good news was the x-rays showed I still have a lot of space in the joint, which was surprising for my age with nearly 30 years of running. The doc shot be with some cortisone, need more rest, ITB stretches and P.T.
