Fort Lewis. Another run which means I got at least four hours of sleep.

Fort Lewis. Had to stop as I was not up for a run after less than 3 hours sleep.

Ran with James on the Provo River trail. Easy 6 miles after driving 900 miles yesterday. It feels good to be back but I leave for another week on Monday. I am going to scout camp with James up at about 9500 feet. I will run with James every morning and use it as a high altitude running camp and try and whip myself back into shape. It was very dissapointing to not be able to get much running in at Fort Lewis. My schedule was a lot tougher than I had expected. I average 3-4 hours a sleep per night and was on my feet for most of everyday. I did a lot of ruck marching (hiking) everyday and sucj=h that made me tired enough that with the lack of sleep I could not force myself to sacrifice any sleep time to get up and run. The 3-4 hours was needed if I had to try and squeeze a run in as well it would not have worked so well. The only good news is that I still managed to lose about 3 pounds or so even without running.

My plans for the rest of the year are pretty much shot at this point. I am probably done racing for the year and will just focus on building the miles back up and getting a good base for next year. Really dissapointing after starting to make so much progress and then not be able to maintain it the last 6 weeks.
