Beautiful day - let's hope we get this weather on Sunday! Six easy miles on the hilly trails of Rock Creek park - tried to go fast on the hills.... I think starting tomorrow I'll go super slow.  Feeling good... I wonder how I'll do on Sunday!

If I want to do 3:40 I need to do 8:27 miles... so on marathon day I'll try to keep that speed for as long as I possibly can...  I've been re-reading some of your blog posts on marathons you've ran... Bonnie, Kelli, Jeff, Mister and Mrs. Fit, Teena, Luz, Sasha, Josse, Michelle... some of you all managed to beat some serious obstacles and had great races, BQs or PRs... So maybe I can too!

Go Lucia, go !! You can do it, you WILL do it.

Have plenty of liquids during the race; I like to pour water over my heads and thighs during a race, it cools me down a bit.

You can do it Lucia. If it is a good race day (weather), and you feel good, just get it done. Drive yourself hard but steady on the flat parts, hard and fast on the downhill, easy on the uphill. It takes focus to keep your pace--but you've done the training now save it up for Sunday. Once Sasha told me, you need to be like a crouching tiger--let the tiger out on race day only. Hold back, hold back, and then attack. Deep down you know you can do it. Now do it. Good luck! No matter what happens, if you try hard on race day, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you gave it your all. I kept saying "I'll just try hard and see what happens". Try your best to rest the tiger for now :)

I'm so excited for you. You've been running great lately.
