This bug is super strong - sick again this morning, called in to work and all - but then the painters showed up at my house. Ughhh.... I knew if they didn't finish painting today they never would finish, so I let them come in and ended up going to work after all.

Funny story but also kind of cute... I e-mailed the guy I'm dating this morning telling him I wasn't feeling well and had called in sick to work and would stay home resting - but then I ended up going to work... Well, around noon I get a call and it was him, calling from my house; he had shown up in my house during his lunch break to surprise me to give me a hug and some soup! Even though it didn't work out as planned, it was such a nice thought on his part... Goodness, I can't remember the last time anyone did anything so nice for me...

I'm feeling better - maybe can actually run a bit tomorrow!

What a sweet story. He sounds like a sweet guy!

I am sorry you are still sick... my whole house is full of sick people. I haven't been able to speak for 3 days now (my throat is killing me). So I totally understand. I hope you start feeling better!

I agree. He sounds like a keeper?! ;p *wink wink. Hope you are feeling better. Oiii winter is no fun especially when you get sick!

Maybe the painters enjoyed the soup. More than likely they enjoyed the hug more.

Hope your feeling better today. And can get in a good work-out. If not rest up.

The rule of thumb or the rule of neck is - if your symptoms are above the neck it's okay, below the neck you need to rest.

I can see Maddy's resemblance to you in your new pic.

Que romanticos !!!

Lucky girl...soup with a cold is just fantastic. And someone caring for you during sickness is...priceless.

Cheers ... =)

CUTE!!!! Love is so CUTE!!! :) Sounds like he's a keeper :) I hope you feel better soon!

From Lucia on Thu, Jan 15, 2009 at 17:13:23

Camille, feel better soon!

Not sure if he's a keeper yet, but definitely going the right direction... He got me tickets to see West Side Story at the National Theater for my birthday, and we're going to see the play tomorrow - the lead actress is from Argentina.

Monte, I have a couple of pictures of me from a long, loong time ago that I need to scan; you'll see the resemblance there for sure. Unfortunately I didn't stay as slim as I was then :(

Marion, it's so much harder to think of it as "cute" when you're dating in your 30s... but I'm trying :)
