Ran from the ofice after work to the Mandarin Oriental hotel to meet with my friend that works there. Was going to do some intervals but my right calf felt really tight, my left leg hurt on the side, and my knee was feeling funny. Boohoo!

My friend Sangeeta is new to running and trying to get in shape, so I'm trying to give her some pointers and encouragement. We did about 2 miles together, slow and taking a lot of walking breaks. I ran home from there, legs feel better.

So, no speed work - i am the worst...

Well, I'm not sure what to do now... I read what Sasha said in your blog, about not doing speed work till you hit 10 miles/day... I don't think I'll be able to get there with my schedule this semester... so maybe I should do hills instead... need to read more about it but no time!!! Why are the days so short???

You're not the worst. You're the best. The best friend to new athletes.
