Biked from Chevy Chase to the office this morning, super fast on the road bike, awesome, passed everyone and nobody passed me! I need to get one of these...

Did the bridges run at lunchtime - a gorgeous day, a bit cloudy but not too humid or hot.

Speed work tomorrow!!! I need to read up on that, I have no idea how to do real speedwork...

Got to love those road bikes. I knew once you got on a road bike you would like the speed of it. They are so much faster then mountain bikes. Just have to watch out for every bump and rock.:(

So true! The thing is though, you don't get as good of a workout unless you can get going really fast or on steep terrain all the time... so what I'd do is train on a mountain bike or hybrid, and then race on a road bike - then you are golden!

Nothing like the speed of a road bike.

My suggestion is to do your speed workout on a treadmill, that way you actually hit the speeds the workout calls for.

Rocket - need for speed, with you on the roadie, once a roadie, great fun. Speed work, many ways - have fun.

That's a great idea MrsFit, why hadn't I thought of that? It's also a good excuse not to run in the heat and humidity here... thanks!
