Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

7:24 AP.  No Garmin.  Just checked my phone clock at the beginning and end--2:28. I ran without fuel or water and seemed to be okay, just the usual end of 20-miler fatigue.  Off to an evening with family.

Awfully fast! You are seriously dialed in, completing that type of run at that speed with no food.

Way to go April!!! you are going to do so well in Houston. BTW do you use course tool? It was my best friend before The Garmin (I actually miss those days). With that pace you should break 3 hours. Crossing my fingers for you girl!! : D. Merry Christmas!!

WOW, you are so darn crazy fast! Very impressive. You are more than ready for a FAST marathon.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Yowza I don't think I am in sub-3 shape but hopefully that day is coming! I do think I am in PR shape and am looking forward to one. I'm just gonna run what feels a little conservative at first and then pick it up from there..and what happens happens, although if I go through the first half relatively fast and feel good I will probably start throwing around some finishing numbers in my head to go for.

Throwing around the numbers in your head will get you through the second half of the race!!! The brain needs something to do. PR for sure, a very good one. Just go with it, I think you will do great.

Let's see, faster than your marathon PR pace for a 20-mile training run, plus all those unofficial PRs from last week... I think you're gonna be happy with the race next month.
