Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

6:52 pace. Treddy hill day. Nothing spectacular, I wasn't really struggling but was just sorta tired and not feeling it so I completed the workout but didn't ratchet up paces and kill it at the end. Not a superhero workout. .5 warm up ez, 2.5 miles up 4% 7:30 pace, then 5 miles down -2% at 6:22 pace. Gotta start getting the quads ready for some Boston mashing.

I never get sore on the uphill, just on the downhill quad and knee busting. Sounds superhero to me!

Ahh the ol routine that brings home the magic :-) way to go April. Btw i am still jealous of your -2 % treadmill. 6:22 x 5 sweet! Very sweet. Hey does boston even descend that much? Idk.

Boston is no Saint George, but I have heard so many accounts of quadtastic blow-ups from the downhillish first half and then the scary newton hills that I am going to train for it--plus I plan to take advantage of those downs to bank time which is folly unless I am trained for it. This workout didn't let me down at Saint George!!

No it did not. I m trying to figure out my goal...pr iswhat i m thinking so 7:06 pace. So maybe is hould do my tempos at that pace rather than my higher goal pace....idk if this bone spur wasnt just keeping me at fears door i would lay it all out there....i just cant let it flare so far so good. No overtraining i have no how i should train...i have no plan at all lol.

6:52 pace on hills is kind of awesome. Newton hills don't have anything on you April. Really they are honestly nothing...there are so many people that you don't even notice them.
