Personal:

I was a single mom. Two times over. We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions. Then, I met a man I didn't deserve. And he loves me so much. And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer. Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now. But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway. This is my failure blog now. Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

8:56 average pace. Still slow but the soreness is finally starting to dissipate. Who knew flag football would be such an onslaught. Sad day yesterday, one of our Sheriff deputy's was shot in the back--completely just ambushed by a guy who called to make a report about a car that got broken into, anyways he died, and then after a long manhunt and standoff the shooter exchanged fire with officers and was also killed. The deputy was only 26 years old and has a wife and 2 year old child. He was brand new. I did not know him personally but think I should go pay my respects at his funeral. So, extra prayers today for our public service personnel.

How sad. Such madness. Since my almost breakin I have heard of at least 20 more stories of break-ins, stealings, etc... assaults...Prayer an ultra remedy!!

That is such a very sad story. I had not heard anything about it. I am married to a cop, so it hits home every time I hear these stories. Crazy people out there.

Glad the soreness is getting better. Flag football is a killer!
