I accidentally ran 100 miles in November 2013. it was hard. I threw up a lot. decided to do a better job next time

Short-Term Running Goals: Run enough to hold off the middle-age spread
Long-Term Running Goals:
Sub 3 hour marathon--SOMEDAY! Done!
New long term goal: ....run enough to feel kinda like I did when I was fit
Personal: I was a single mom. Two times over. We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions. Then, I met a man I didn't deserve. And he loves me so much. And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer. Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now. But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway. This is my failure blog now. Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.

| | Tired day. no sleep since work last night. I just couldn't do it

| | Intentions were good, made it to the Y, but Val was mopey and acting puny and has a bit of a fever so mission abandoned. Flying solo with young children as a parent makes consistency quite difficult.

| | Treadmill fartlek for an hour. Mostly quarters at 6:40 pace. I'm having terrible tailbone pain for no reason. I haven't fallen or anything. Hurts to sit, cough, sneeze, or laugh. Can't lay on my back. Standing, walking, running, are fine. so weird

| | stroller miles. did some legs and core at the Y afterward, running on no sleep...literally

| | Dreadmill at the Y. 1 mile warm up, 3 at 6:58, jogged a mile, 4x 400 at 6:18 pace with 400 rests, coold down to 7. Not really a planned speed workout, just got bored as usual on the mill. My mysterious tailbone pain is almost completely gone.

| | creamed all night at work again. shuffle kids, tiny bit of sleep, another night of this madness and another missed run. hoping tonight is slow and I feel good enough to run laps in the early am. Getting a cold.

| | Tired day after two night shifts but I needed to do something--visited the treadmill at the Y since it was storming this morning. .25 mile warm up then 4 miles at 6:53 pace. Did some arms afterward on the weight machines

| | hardcore leg day at the Y. I'm kinda enjoying this lifting thing!! later in the afternoon ran a hot and windy 4.3 pushing the stroller

| | no run today but I benched for the first time ever. Benched almost my bodyweight so pretty proud of that. It was fun and scary but Michael spotted me so I knew I would be fine.

| | Eventually got this run in at post 12. We heard two gunshots nearby around 0200, so I was a little leery. Went out around 0300 and walked the perimeter and didn't see anything so went ahead and started laps. Got interrupted by a call at lap 10, but ran 20 more when we got back. 30 laps total. It's a run. Nobody shot at me.
