Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

Love the new picture!!! Ok---I think I have never read your full profile, or did you change it???? I had no idea you had 5 kids! You are amazing. Anyone with 5 kids is amazing!!!

I am glad I have given you hope! Even though I should have been about 7-8 minutes faster, I did it and almost pain free. AND I am fine today. It hurts, but I have decided it always will!!!

What is your plan here? Marathon in October or not?

As long as my foot is at its current status and not worse, I am going to run that marathon on October 20th! I am in a weird position where my foot is perfectly fine on my dirt roads but when I get onto any other surface it hurts(mostly afterwards not during). I have a half marathon(on asphalt) in 3 weeks and if my foot doesn't break then I will shell out the cash for the marathon. I am also considering a 5k next weekend just to see how it is the day after a short run on asphalt. What do you think? Or should I just train away on dirt and not race at all and avoid asphalt until the marathon? I think I need to run the half though since my last one was such a blow-up and at least have a half under my belt that I survive in better fashion. I don't even know what pace to shoot for in the marathon. Anyways I hate Pf and I am like you--the stupid foot is going to hurt no matter what I have to be on my feet all day at work so there is no point in stopping running.

I am not so sure I am the one to ask for advice!!! I do know that I spent a fortune trying to heal it, and I lost the crucial months of my marathon training to boot! And, after all of that, nothing worked! So, my take is to RUN! Run as long as you can, stop when it kills. But, I am an idiot (however, i tried the SMART way first).

Are you taping it for your runs? I also bought an arch support at the running store that looks like an ace bandage. I wear it when i am out and about, but you have to take it off when sitting or laying down (not sure why, but the box says to). It seems to be helping. Also, the icing with a coke bottle (filled with frozen water) seems to help, too. Everything else is BUNK!
