Gave in and wore running pants and a jacket this morning. Ended up being a mistake because I was too hot towards the end of the run. Legs were a little tired but the run felt good otherwise. Random sighting of the day: a fox crossed the street in front of me. No, not that kind (although there were a acouple of those). A real life fox. I wasn't sure if I should be concerned for my safety or not. Foxes aren't dangerous are they?

pants! no, not yet! i try to hold off as long as possible, but my legs are starting to go numb in the mornings...dang it.

as for the foxes, i've encountered them a few times while running and they seem harmless. i think they just keep to themselves and do their own thing -- they don't attack but they don't necessarily get frightened either. that's just a guess though. as for the other kind, they are definitely dangerous.

Foxes are fine. It's the cougars you really need to watch out for. I am thinking about doing the Mueller Canyon to North Canyon loop on Saturday. Total mileage is 11-12. Some other bloggers may show up...

Allie - I was premature with the pants. I think it is alright to hold out for a couple more weeks.

Kam - What time are you running on Saturday?

I was planning on starting around 7:15.

The trail would be pretty dark and treacherous if we start much earlier. Headlamps could take this to a whole new level, though.

My girls have a soccer game in layton at 9 so I probably wouldn't be done in time. Wish I could make it. Sounds fun.
