Fifteenish miles on the KPT.  Forgot to bring my Garmin but I've run this enough now I have a pretty good idea where the mile markers are.  It was nice to run a long run without a watch and not worry about the pace.  Everything felt good until the last 2 miles when the achilles started to flare up.  Stopped and talked to JD for a second.  Thanks for getting my attention.  I was lost in thought and wasn't really paying attention.

Hey it was good to see you out there Andy. Thanks for stopping. I'll have to get myself up earlier some Saturday and join this group you run with. Does Lora (I assume Lora facilitates this) post info anywhere about when and what time you meet for group runs?

You rock!!!!

Work on that achilles this weekend. Seriously!!!!

Wish you lived closer so that I could talk you into letting me experiment with the soft tissue stuff I am learning!

Hope that achilles gets better. I've been having some twinges in mine on the left leg, but it usually goes away after a few minutes. I need to focus on better form. I notice I start pushing off more with my left leg and that's when the pain starts up. Nice run, by the way.

I am glad you had a great run with only two miles where your Achilles was bugging you.

Glad to hear you had a nice 15 miler and the achilles cooperated for the first 13. So, what are you doing to help it recover?

Stay healthy, amigo.

JD - Lora usually posts the meeting locations at: http://blonderunner.com/teams/south-davis-road-runners/ We meet at the same place for a month then move to a different location.

Teena/Smooth - I'm not doing anything with the achilles other than trying to ignore it. Next week is a monster week of training. If I can survive without aggravating it any further then I will be happy.

Sounds like things are improving with the achilles. You are now making it 13 miles before any flare up. Looks like you are going to be able to run through this one. Very nice.

You know how I am, I worry.

Just be careful!!! :)
