Another very windy day.  Running into the wind was very difficult but it sure was nice when the wind was at my back.  At times it almost seemed like too much of a push.  The upper hamstrings in both legs really started to tighten up the last couple of miles so I took it very easy.

I may have taken this pull up competition a little too serious.  I think that I pulled a pectoral muscle.  Hopefully it's just sore but it's pretty painful right now.  I may have to resort to one armed pull ups.  How many points do we get for those?

OUCH!! I hope not. That sounds painful most likely your just using a muscle you dont use as much is all. What count are you up too now on your pull ups?? I hope your hammies recovery quick.

Andy!!

A one handed pullup would get you more whistles from the ladies than you could ever imagine!! (sorry about the sore pec muscle -- that stinks)

I thought about running outside this morning but when the weather said that winds were around 20 miles an hour I had no problem resorting to the treadmill. I will NEVER be as hardcore as you!! Check out that mileage too!! NICE!!

Mark - Technically I am disqualified from the competition because I gave a false starting number. It really doesn't matter to me because I am just trying to get into swim suit shape and this gave me the kick in the pants that I needed.

From Rhett on Mon, Dec 22, 2008 at 12:01:05

What is the countdown to 3000 at? I hope the pecs get better soon. Don't want to dissapoint all the ladies when you put on the swimsuite. Are you taking a trip somewhere or are you planning on going for some polar bear award?

From Andy on Mon, Dec 22, 2008 at 12:04:26

Rhett - It is either 16.5 or 17.5. For some reason my blog total has 1 more mile than the spreadsheet that I use. I have to figure out which one is correct.

From Teena on Mon, Dec 22, 2008 at 12:05:53

Andy,

How do I get that mile tracker thing at the top of my blog (the one that let's me put in how many slow miles, etc.)?

From Rhett on Mon, Dec 22, 2008 at 12:38:47

Oh, I'm an idiot. It's right there at the top of your blog page.

From DonGardinero on Mon, Dec 22, 2008 at 14:58:30

Dang pullup contest. I can't even budge an inch and I keep treaking my back, too, like Teena. I concede. Way to go getting out in the wind.
