I got a late start so had to cut the run short (this is happening way too often). I bought the Irongym last night and discovered that I must have been cheating somehow at the park (BTW - it wasn't on sale). It seems so much harder at home.
I think starting from a hanging position makes those dang pullups almost impossible. I do so much better with the chinups, especially if I start on a stool. Yeah, it might be cheating a bit ... but I'm still pushing myself to the max, so all is good!
(sorry that it wasn't on sale ... look at all the new gizmos and gadgets you are getting lately)

I was extremely embarrassed having to attempt pull ups at the gym in front of all the muscle crowd.
Did you get your irongym for $20 at Wallgreens? I'm going to check out Wallgreens here. I went to Bed Bath & Beyond (per Kelli's post) and they were all sold out. The ones on eBay are going for $33+. I'm a cheapskate, I don't want to pay big bucks for something I might not "enjoy" using.
BTW, Glad you got her done, 6 miles is 6 miles. Aren't you one of those who do two-a-day runs? I swear all these FAST bloggers here are running or working out AM and PM.
It was $30. I must have seen the wrong price when I went the other day. I haven't decided if it is worth it yet but everybody else seems to like it. I'm not a two-a-day runner. My schedule isn't very conducive to running in the evening.
I may have to disqualify myself from the competition since I gave an erroneous starting point. Actually, I could continue to work on them the right way then do the final test the same way I did them initially. Is that still cheating (not that I'm opposed to cheating)?
No disqualifications are being granted (unless you beat me too badly). Just be consistent with whatever you decide to do. I am practicing both my hanging pullups and my semi-cheating chinups. During the 1st week of January I will do both (on different days), see where I earn the most points and wallah!!
Teena -- Laughing is abs workout in disguise, I think, unless you p your shorts doing it. Wait, you already have great abs and too young to loose bodily control.
Kathie -- Oh good, Kimmy and I have something in common.
