Slogged through 3 miles then ran 2 at marathon pace.  Ran on a downhill grade similar to SGM so I could get an honest indication of how the pace felt.  The splits were 6:26 and 6:27.  It felt a little quick but sustainable.  Finished with 2 more easy miles.  Achilles is still a bit of a nuisance.

nice job shaking out those muscles. Your Achilles will be fine on Saturday. Is that your goal MP?

sounds like a nice productive run for this stage of the game.

6:30 is my target pace except for the big downhills, Veyo and Dammeron Valley. The achilles isn't to the point where it will be an issue during the race.

Good luck, Andy. I hope the weather cooperates for you.

That pace will land you at 2:50 and a nice PR, right? I'll be cheering for you.
