Felt good during the run this morning. It was supposed to be a 10 miler but I miscalculated the route and ended up a little short. My left knee and hamstring started to ache towards the end.

I thought that I was done for the day.  When I went to take my son to school I realized that I locked my keys in my car.  I didn't have time to look for the spare set of keys so we rode our bikes to his school.  I couldn't find the spare anywhere in the house and I had to get my daughter's to their end of year kindergarten testing so I put them in the stroller and ran them to the school.   I was in street clothes, non-running shoes and it was not a jogging stroller.  So I got an extra 3 miles for the day.

so.................did you get your keys out? I have a slim jim tool, if you need to borrow it! The pop-up locks are the easiest to open.

I think, under the circumstances, you get more credit than just the three miles. Running under those conditions is the equivalent to at least 5 miles, in my humble opinion!

Until recently I've always ridden bikes to school w/ my kids. It lots of fun.

Sounds like you're lucky to live close to stuff you need to get to... I live in the middle of no where, it'd be 5 miles just to the nearest village and about 15 to the nearest city haha.

Thanks for the offer missee. I ended up calling a lock smith.

Benn - I probably could ride a bike or run to most places that I need to go (except for work) but I still have the mindset that you have to drive everywhere.
