Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Woke up with glute-to-hamstring pain - could only handle about 15 minutes of biking before getting irritated. Frustrated...

PM - 25 minutes of arm weights and a little walking.

I am so sorry. This is the worst. Eventually it's got to improve. I don't see how this could go on and on.

My older sister is a massage therapist in Draper out of her home. Let me know if you want one, she will only charge you minimal, and she is good.

Does this injury related to the low back pain you had last year? Since everything is connected?

So so sorry Andrea. I am definitely with Lily, how much longer can this honestly last? I really wish there was something I could do for you.

It could be. Who knows... I'm going up to Ogden next Tuesday to see a massage therapist that was recommended to me, but thanks for the offer!

You poor thing....this nagging injury has gone on forever!!!! SO very frustrating!

If all of those therapist don'e work out, I go to a lady in American Fork who is AMAZING!!!! She's been working scar tissue out of my ankle for a few weeks now. Ouch...but it has been doing the trick. She is great with runners!

Get better soon as we all enjoy reading your speedster stories :)

I feel for you I'm going on 4 years of glute/hammy pain. But I really doubt your will last as long as mine. I feel like I've tries everything under the sun, even know I'm sure there is something else out there I could throw my money at.

Good luck on Tuesday. Hopefully something comes of it for you.

Thanks for the article! Some pretty technical stuff in there. Very interesting.
