Run consistently as I get back to 100% health. Stay patient!
Long-Term Running Goals:
Have fun training and racing.
Sub-17 5K
Sub-1:17 Half Marathon
Quality for the Olympic Trials in the marathon
Personal:
I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.
I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)
I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.
5 miles with Allie around Sugarhouse, 8 min pace. I felt good today.
One great thing about coming back from a long injury is that my metabolism ramps up after even a short run and I can eat a lot of food :)

Haha, I accidently put my weight in the wrong box :)
5 miles is almost equally as impressive for me as 114!

Happy "2016 Trials qualifying window opening" day!
I think you were further away when the last window opened... on Jan 1 2010 we were wearing one piece ski suits around Two Elk Lodge w/ Jenna. At least we're running this time around :-)
Good run, glad you were able to do 5 w/ allie.

Yes!
Not so sure how I feel about tomato gelato though Allie.

Its AWFUL, Melody. Tastes like icy ketchup. I can't even remember the last time I left any amount of ice cream type substance out to just melt away.
From allie on Thu, Aug 01, 2013 at 10:53:58 from 161.38.221.168
yes, it is awful...tastes just like those little gross exploding tomatoes that they have on 1994-themed salad bars.
however, we must appreciate the fact that it was so well-made that it tasted exactly as advertised.
i also bought some chocolate, so you can mix that in and it will be fine.
