Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc. 

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Met up with Allie and Ken Richardson for a long run on the first part of the Ogden marathon course, then trails for the last 6 miles. 20.6 miles this morning!! I haven't run more than 17, so this was new territory. I felt great, considering the distance. The pace was super consistent - 7 min/mile +-6 seconds for the first 15. Then we hit the North Arm Trail for the last few which naturally slowed the pace a little but same effort level. Jake decided that Allie and I needed an extra 0.6 miles past 20 so he "accidently" took a wrong turn for a quarter mile. Overall great run, great company with average 7:03 pace. The run went by really fast - lots of conversation. Now I get to eat EVERYTHING!!!

thanks for letting me tag along this morning. the pace was perfect and it was so nice to have the company. thanks for the g2 as well. i didn't realize how thirsty i was until i took a sip -- it was gone pretty quickly after that! enjoy the rest of your weekend. i really hope you get to meet bigfoot.

I didn't PURPOSELY lead us off-trail to where the weird reservoir people were hanging out, but I am glad it happened b/c now you broke the 20 mile mental barrier (along w/ 17, 18, and 19).

Who wants to see Andrea run a marathon? :-)
