Obviously I still have a retarded computer - what can you do?

Anyway, Jody said I needed to give everyone a heads up on my situation. Everything seems to be going just fine with the pregnancy. 8 weeks and go to the doctor tomorrow for my first real check-up. I'm feeling tired and sick throughout the day, so I'm thinking we're doing just great. My running has been extremely lacking lately and I'd like to blame it on so many things, but in reality it's just me being tired/lazy. We started potty training the twins this weekend and it has worn me out! Wow- I think it has been one of the hardest things I've had to do with them in 3 years. I'm really hoping to get a few minutes tonight when they are in bed to walk/run on the treadmill!

Hope you all are doing great!

Hey! Resting during pregnancy is NOT being lazy. You are doing an amazing thing--potty training 2 little boys, and at the same time growing a whole new human! Somebody call Guiness! Have a great walk later, and great job.

Ya I would have to say if someone asked me to run when i was pregnant I would have to slap them. Although my last pegnancy was the twins. So all I remember is the misery. Goodluck with the potty training and everything else you have going on.

Its good to hear from you, although I should be better about calling you on the telephone! I am glad things are going well so far, except the tired and sick feeling. You are an amazing mom and person! I hope the boys get potty trained fast so you can relax just a little. I am excited that yours and Dustys babies will be so close together. Just make sure you have another one so my kids can have some cousins to play with ok!

Thanks, Andee!! You know we're all Andee-junkies!! Your life is so exciting right now!! Pregnant, potty-training, blogging, throwing up!! ;o) I'm very impressed that you attempted the potty training in your first trimester. My 2nd trimester was so much easier ... but you're more amazing that the average woman!!!!!

From Bethany on Wed, Feb 20, 2008 at 11:29:09

good luck with the potty training. Please let me know anything that worked for you. My almost 3 year old is adamant that he is going to wear diapers to his Junior Prom.

And I agree with the above comments, you are amazing!

Maybe this will help with the potty training. This might sound funny, but make the bathroom a fun place to be. This worked for all mine and my foster kids I have potty trained. I just had them sit on the toilet and entertained them until they went and then reward them. My boy was the hardest. so I set aside a day where I deicated my day to him. He sat on the toilet almost all day but it was fun for him. I read to him he had some toys to play with I gave him fun drinks, and each time he went we made a big deal out of it. He even ate lunch there. It took one hard day for me and after that he wanted the possitive attention if he went. Or buy a toy or treat and show it to them and then do a sticker chart and after they have so many stickers they get the prize.

Hope that helps.

Good to hear from you! Glad the pregnancy is going well! Potty training... wouldn't want to go back there! My kids were SLOW- almost 4 before they really got the hang of it- good luck! And yes- I had a really great run w/ Jody! She's awesome!

Potty trainning is the hardest! Hate that part. Glad your pregnancy is going good. It can be so scary. You are great to find time to run with twins. That has got to be hard!
