Time trial 1. I think we were just focusing on pushing hard as a pack and no matter what I told everyone, I was completely nervous as I've ever been. I forgot I was supposed to lead with meskerem the second mile not the first so I took it out fast with Josie and Jacey. By the time the second mile came along meskerem started pushing it and the pack started to spread and I couldn't hang on. I ended 6th (without rylee there so probably 7th) with a 13:08. I've always known there was gonna be big competition this year for varsity. But it's never seemed so real to me. I really need to step it up and work my hardest always. We finished up with some hill repeats and striders which were both good.

PM- easy 30 with josie through neon spider. It was actually completely terrifying without the rest of the team. But it was good to just run with jos. Also I'm very excited for the team party tonight it's gonna be delicious pizza

I didn't get a chance to talk to you guys, so I will tomorrow. But, you held in there pretty strong. I really think that if you learn to hold on that first mile, the rest of the race will really come to you - you are a very strong fighter when you have the goal in sight. So it is so important to use these first time trials, races, tempo/workouts to teach yourself the right way to race. Yes, it will be tough to hold that var spot. But when you guys all use it in a positive way, it will drive all of you individually and as a team to stuff you can't even imagine! I have faith in you...
