Let me just say, BEST RACE EVER! My goal time was to break 21 minutes because the lat race I ran (not counting herriman) was the last time we ran cedar and i got 21:20. At the beginning I was fine no nerves at all really. We ran around a little and cheered and stuff. I ran my warm up without my brace thing for my stupid achillies to see how it felt and it hurt a little but felt fine mainly so I didn't wear it in the race either. I always get nervous right before he shoots off the gun. I started off not being able to pass anybody because I was so boxed in but then made it out to the outside so that I could start passing people and I got up with Mia. I started to fall back behind and Liz caught up with me. She passed me but I stayed with her for the entire race. People passed me and I passed them for pretty much the entire race but on my lat lap jut before going in between the tennis courts and baseball field coach was there and said my time right now was 17:55. And I though "I'm gonna get 19 minutes!!!" So I tried to push it but I didn't have a ton left in me so I just barely sped up. Liz was barely in front of me but she started creating a gap and so she was like 4 seconds ahead of me. I finished pretty strong I think and I could not stop smiling because I got 19:51.2! I was so happy I beat my PR by 1 minute 29 seconds. It was a way fun race! Anyway I ended up with 33 overall (i think) and 3rd on the team! So yeah, it was a good time.
