Personal:

I am 42, and am only getting better with age and wisdom.

Running is about third or fourth on my priority list, but that's pretty high.  I'm a busy guy.  My family comes first.  I've got a few great runners in the bunch - watch out for them!

Disaster!  I went to track this morning at 5 a.m. to run splits, after 2 mile warmup on streets.  I had checked the track yesterday afternoon to make sure it was clear of snow and ice and, as far as I could see, it was clear.  There was an inch of snow on the track this morning and I managed to find a patch of ice under the snow as I rounded a turn and BOOM! I went down hard.  It is now 5 p.m. and I still have no memory of picking myself up, gathering my stuff and going to my car.  I have a vague memory of driving home.  My headlamp is busted.  I've had a mild headache all day.  No goose egg.  No vomiting and no dilated pupils.  Perhaps a mild concussion?  I may have to take a few days off to avoid bouncing my brain in this condition.  Why did I think I should I still run splits on a track covered in an inch of snow?  Pain is just weakness leaving your body.
