Running Accomplishments:

I was a much better runner in my 20's and 30's.  When I was 52 I had a 28.5 5K and a 58.5 10K, and I would like to surpass those times.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run a 1/2 marathon.  I would actually love to run a full marathon, but am not sure if my body would break down with injuries training for one.  Update fall 2010: still no 1/2 marathon, but I did run all the way up city creek and back home (14 miles)  - absolutely gorgeous!!

Personal:

My name is Adele Kimbrough - I'm 58 and have been running (off and on) since I was 16.  My body is not well designed for speed, and I'm a bit arthritic, but I'm having fun trying to figure out just how fast I can be.  And this blog helps!

2011 Deseret News 10K Finish Line.
Dang - missed my goal by 4 seconds!

4 on TM - thought I would die of boredom after one mile so started laddering up at the beginning of each song until I got to tempo pace, and then slowly came back down. Changing the pace every couple minutes helped the time pass.

It's warming up outside - only one handle on my car was frozen stuck today! :)

It has been so darn cold! I typically really like winter, but I am just freezing all of the time. I am so used to the treadmill I think it has become my best friend! BUT you have to liven it up some way, so I like your creativity!!!

I here we might hit 40 tomorrow! Yeah for that, maybe i can go outside again for a run.

Have a GREAT DAY!

You hear, Kelli. Hear.

It was 42 on my run this morning :)

No, I am pretty sure I here. I know I here.

I made another mistake on someone else's blog and I have just been waiting for you to find it. I was even going to fix it, but changed my mind. I figured you could use the challenge.

ha ha - that's funny, Kelli, let's see if Burt can find it!

I agree, yea for the warmer temps!!! I might try to do my next run outside as well!

Yeah, it always takes me 2-3 weeks to get back into the treadmill groove. I thought I'd die getting my first mile done today, but then didn't want to quit when I got to 4 miles. But I had to stop because I really needed to get into work. . .

The longer you go, the easier it gets.

I do not think Burt has found it yet.

There's a pretty good chance I'm not gonna find it. I'll let you off the hook this time.

The blog runner's name starts with an A.

But you can let me off the hook. I make typos and severe grammar and spelling mistakes daily, so you still have plenty of opportunities ahead of you.

I still can not believer I typed HERE. I must have been asleep.
