Sorry I've been away for so long.  The past couple of months have been extraordinarily busy. So busy that I just about lost my mind. Not only super busy, but the hormones have been having their way with me.  Ha!  Never in my life have I cried so much :)  I'm like, "Come on Addie, get a grip!!!"

I'm closing in on 300 consecutive days of running and pretty darn close to 200 days on Hormone Replacement Therapy.  The changes I'm experiencing, not only physically and emotionally, but cognitively, as well.  I think of so many things differently now.

I'll have more to write about tomorrow.  Some good things are coming my way over the next couple of weeks. : )

Running streak, 300 days!!!  YAY!!!  Only 65 more until I hit one full year of running.  After than, I'll see how long I can continue.  No way am I going to stop, it keeps me motivated to run, even though it's low mileage each day, but I have noticed a huge improvement with my form and my stride.  I also feel as though I'm running faster, and that's always a plus.

This was a big day for me. I had my six month appointment with my doctor providing hormones. When she walked into the room, her mouth dropped to the floor and I'm like "huh?" She said she was astonished at how much I've changed, physically, over the first six months. She went on to say that it takes most people 5 years to reach the size of certain attributes that I have acquired ;) She thinks I'll grow even bigger in that area. That's what I like to hear. She also added progesterone to my daily regimen. So far, so good. Later, while at work, tonight is the big night they will announce to everyone at work that I am transitioning in the workplace. First there would be a diversity training class from 6:30 pm to 7:30. After the class is when the announcement was made and they provided a question and answer session for the next half hour. I was told to not attend the training to give everyone a chance to voice their concerns, if they had any. Apparently, it went over very well with everyone, as far as my manager could tell. She said there was a lot of clapping and cheering and she heard people saying how brave I am for doing this. That was very nice to hear. Whew!!! I'm so glad that's out of the way. The future looks bright. I guess I better wear shades, right? :)

I really should post what other exercises I do, in addition to running.

Since may 1st, I've been doing 50 squats with my own body weight.  I've lways had such weak leg strength and I figured doing it with my own body weight for a few months is a good way to start.  Eventualy I'll put on the weight vest.

Every other day, I do walking lunges.  I don't count how many, I just do them until I feel like it's enough.

I also do a lot of full body motion workouts, without weights. 

A few days ago I started balancing exercises.  That's something I've needed to do for a long time to build up my feet and ankle strength.
