So this past week, I guess the past two weeks actually, I've lost a lot of motivation for some reason. There are several different reasons, but I'm honestly getting to the point where I'm almost sick of running. I think the main factor in this feeling is because I run at night rather than in the morning, so I'm always tired. to change that, starting on Monday I'm going to run in the mornings rather than after work, and see how that is. Another thing that plays into that is the fact that my left IT band has been hurting for about two weeks now. It's just tight, so I'm stretching as much as I can, and the rest has definitely helped it, but it still isn't completely better. I have also failed to get enough sleep this past week, mostly because I have been less diligent about getting to bed on time than I need to be. I'm hoping to run a full week this upcoming week and see what difference it makes to run in the morning instead of after work. I'm still really excited for the marathon, so we'll see what I can do this week. Also, I started going to the gym three times a week, so we'll see how that affects my running. |
