Today at the track we did a grass lap and stretching. Then we took our team pictures before going on the sweaty run that makes us look FABULOUS. We ran to Sugarhouse and to the start of state, I stayed with Tomy and Chris the whole time. Tomorrow's the last day we can run there until state, and we're gonna be doing our traditional service project so... yeah. We ran an easy pace on the course for 4 minutes, did 15 seconds on, then another easy 4 minutes. Us girls used the 4 minutes to group up again, because we weren't getting too spread apart in 15 seconds. Once we finished the course we all got water and I ran back to the school with Tomy and Chris. My legs felt heavy and worn the whole way back, but I pushed through it because heavy legs is why I gave up on myself at Park City. Now it's time for an ice bath! Once the plumber fixes the faucet!

Today after our annual service project, we continued our tradition by going to the Jordan River Parkway in Murray and running out 1.5 and back at a steady pace. After the run we all went to Emily's for dinner. Regions is tomorrow, so I'm going to elevate my legs right now and go to bed!

Today at regions we did a warmup and strides and such and the usual stuff. At the start it went out harder than I anticipated, but I stuck on WX and Bountiful. At the mile it was just WX and I so I stuck on her. At the second rollercoaster I had her but then I lost her again. I got back up to her again and almost outkicked her and lost my senior region crown by 1 second. Then I puked it all up. But I still ran the course faster than Susie ever did :) Or so she told me.

Today only a few people came to practice. We ran up Sunnyside to the post office and over on that one street to the drinking fountain at Red Butte. Then we ran up the road to the fence and got on the trail to Dry Creek for our Adventure run that Susannah, Natalie, Amanda, Suzette, and I spontaneously created the day after regions 2 years ago. It made me miss them. Once we got off the trail we went by Popperton Park and down past Shriners and did the usual run back. We ran in the road at Guardsman because of all the tailgaters for the Utes game. It was a great run, I really like trails.

Today we did speed. We did 1 mile warmup and a mile speed changes. Then we did a 2000, a 1600, a 1200, and 4 200s. We were to hit the 2000 splits fast then get 2 seconds slower each lap. I finished at a 7:45. For the 1600 we were supposed to start out slower and get 2 seconds faster each lap, and I don't remember my time, but I think I was under 6. For the 1200 we were to just stay even each lap, and I hit a 4:26, perfection. Then on the 200s we just opened our stride. For a cooldown I ran with Tomy, Chris, and Bill to Sunnyside and I ran a lap then ran back to the track on my own.

This morning we went up to Pipeline with Natalie! It's so pretty up at pipeline because all the trees are orange and pink and red and yellow and pretty. I kept up with Tomy, Natalie, Chris, and Ryan until almost the turnaround, then I died off a little bit. On the way back I was able to maintain a good pace with Andy. We were doing fartlek on the way back, and I was able to hear Bill screaming "ON!" and "OFF!" For 4 sets, but then I couldn't hear him anymore, so I just had random spasms where I would open up my stride and after I got around a certain turn I would slow down a little. It wasn't really as effective as fartlek, but at least I tried. I added on at the end of the trail, then once we drove down past the booth I took the senior citizen pass from Bill's car and ran up past the booth to Tomy's car. We're seniors, so that counts, right? :) Then we went to Millcreek Cafe for breakfast!
