| | Dear hell weak: bring it. Today we started at Sugarhouse with a lap of warm up around the park, which was a little over 2 miles. Then we went over to the bottom of the big hill and stretched for a bit, then went over the hill. We had a zigzag loop where you go up, over, down, over, up, over, up, around, and down the hill and get 2 minutes recovery. I did alright I guess, it's just that my weakness and strength are in the same category, hills. If you wanna lose me on a run, just go up a hill, but if I want to lose you, I'll go downhill. Anyways, after these hills we went over to a small "hill" by the pond and ran it twice just because we're crazy people. Then we went on a cool down. I was originally going to run 2 laps around the park and make it to 10 miles, but at the end of my first lap I felt so sick I wanted to puke. When we got back to the spot, I still needed half mile, so I jogged very slowly to the drinking fountain, then jogged along the river for a bit and back. Tomorrow is probably going to be worse... Blah! Oh well, tomorrow is the hardest day, so I'll just suck it up and do it!

| | Tear, tear. Today was HORRIBLE! It was our JCC run and hills. I ran with Maggie and Jesse to the 3.8 mile mark and turned around. On the way there I tripped and fell and when I rolled over to let Jesse by, she asked if I was okay and tripped on the same rock, it was kinda funny how we both fell... When we got back to 'The HILLLLLL' we had to do 10 of them. It's so hard because the hill is so long and so steep and just plain horrible! The first 3 I was crying I thought I was going to hyperventilate, and my sister told me I needed to calm down. I felt a little better on the 4th or 5th, but then I lost it again on the 6th and 7th. I toughed it for the 8th and 9th, and tried to go all out on the 10th. Finally when the torture was done, Jesse and I ran back down. I was ahead a little bit but I was scared of the animals moving around in the bushes because I don't know what it is or what it's going to do. Jesse and I stopped at every little stream that was in the path and splashed ourselves and I could cool my hand off in the cold water and I was able to get my knee cold. And we were really thirsty so we just had a sip...

| | Today was our team hike!! I'm not putting miles on any shoes because I wore my old blue mizunos I don't track anymore. We gathered at the park and ride at the bottom of Little Cottonwood canyon and carpooled up to the trailhead. The trail going up was nice and cool, but after a while it got harder and harder. When we got to the lake we sat down and ate lunch, then went to play by the lake and skip rocks. Bill was standing in the water for an ice bath, so Tomy and I joined and then Maclean, Nelson, Maggie, Annie, Mike, Patrick, and Taylor all came in. It felt nice and when I got out my legs felt so fresh! Then we all hiked around the lake to go to the 2nd part of the lake, and it involved rock climbing down, crossing the river by the waterfall, climbing up, and around the other part of the lake. Then some of us went bushwhacking and we planned on going to the snow to build a snowman. Several people decided to turn around and go back, but several of us refused to wuss out on such an adventure, so we climbed up the slick rocks to the snow. When we got there, it was Annie, Olivia, RJ, Jeremy, Dakota, Chris, Bennion, Sam, and Bill, and we had a snowball fight and built our snowman. It had snickers for ears, mentos for a mouth, and a carrot nose, with rock buttons, fir branch arms, and a very fuzzy red hat. We took pictures then had to go back to get our bags from the lake, if we had brought them with we could have gotten down to the bottom an hour before everyone else. Instead of going back the way we came, we went on a forest adventure with no path and a lot of rocks to climb, so we went around the whole lake. When we got to the marsh and were jumping over the small streams, I landed in the mud and my left foot slipped in and was all muddy. When we got back everyone was mad at us for taking forever, but whatever it was fun! We hiked back down and sang fun songs, like Princess Pat and The Ants Go Marching By. When we got to the asphalt, Annie and I started booking it because we wanted to be done! It was a really fun day :)

| | Today we met at the usual park and ride to go up to Guardsmin pass to run puke hill. We piled into cars and drove up the canyon, and it took FOREVER! Plus the gas light came on, not good... When we got there it was a little cold but once we got started it was alright. I hit my head on a branch and apparently I have a big scratch on my head from it. I ran with Gavin and Sam for most of the run, and when we saw Mike we turned around. With just over a mile to go I felt like speeding up, so that last part I ran alone. We even saw my 7th grade P.E. teacher and she recognized Gavin and Sam... Scary...Hehe

| | Last night Susannah and I had a sleepover with Michaela and Carissa so we just went to their team workout. Today was their girls run, and we were doing 5 miles. We ran along a road behind Davis High until we got to Happy Hollow. We stopped and stretched and then continued, then we had to cross several little streams and we all got wet and muddy. Then we bushwhacked through the rest of the hollow and got poison oak, so we ran to someone's house to rinse it off. Then we ran back to the school, where all the guys were SHIRTLESS! Hehe just kiddin'. Rissa just wanted me to write that... |

| | Today I left my house and ran along 14th east to 17th south, up to 15th east to 21st south, up to 19th east to 9th south, into the gulley, out by the Bonneville church, up to 17th east, over to Harrison Ave, down to 15th east, over to my street, and then some laps in my tiny backyard. I had my ipod, which is why I survived.
