HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATALIE!!!!!!!!!

Today at track, we did our 2 vertical laps warm up and dynamic drills. We broke out into groups and discussed the oval. Since it was closed until 5 pm and it was barely 4:00, we decided to meet there at 7. So Natalie, Sarah B and I decided to throw in a chemistry study session before heading out later. Nat drove Sarah B, Sarah S, and I out there and we met up with Tomy, Bill, Dakota, and Kevin for 5 1000s. We did 1 mile warm up and 1 mile speed changes, and I had a sideache on my lower left and upper right of my tummy. When we stopped to stretch and change shoes I breathed it out and didn't change shoes because I had left them at the school and they ended up in Bill's car. For the first 1000 I think I started too fast, because at the 500 mark, I suddenly felt as if someone had stabbed me on my left side. I tried to squeeze it out and breath as I always do to get rid of sideaches, but the pain stayed the same. By the end of that one I was crying, but I calmed down, breathed it out, and sat out the 2nd 1000. Dakota brought my shoes in (THANK YOU) and I changed into my flats. I joined the others on the recovery lap and did my 2nd 1000 while they did their 3rd. I had it in my head that I was going to do all 5, because I am determined to make it to state this year and go to Arcadia and Great Southwest. I ran my next  one at a 3:59, which shocked me. I ran my next one a 3:58, and the next also a 3:58. Everyone else was so happy to be done, and I knew I had to finish. I borrowed Natalie's watch for my last one, which really helped me know where I was at the 500. Surprisingly, I ran a 3:48!!!! It made me so happy to know that I pushed hard while doing it alone. I did 12 laps cooldown with Birthday Girl, Tomy, Bill, and Kevin. It felt so good to be done, and this chocolate milkshake is DELICIOUS.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATALIE! YOU'RE AN ADULT NOW AND CAN SIGN YOUR OWN RACE PAPERS! :) teehee.
