Personal:

I'm married to Nan Kennard and she kicks my butt at running.  She has beat me handily in every race we have done together except for a downhill mile we did once.  She is my running inspiration.  I'd like to run a marathon with her someday and actually keep up.

Todays run - 6.5 miles - 54:26 - (8:23) - 287 Feet ascent/descent - Really easy relaxed run this morning around countryside.

On the last 2 miles toward home I was running into the arc of an incredible and huge full double rainbow as the sun was rising behind me.  It was pretty spectacular.  Then it started raining pretty steady the last half mile which was cold but kind of refreshing.

Oh and it looks like we're going to move to South Boulder (near Table Mesa) in the next few weeks...odd turn of events that is kind of exciting (and somewhat daunting) to think about.  I can't help but feeling a little giddy at the thought of my doorstep being 1/4 mile from the trail start to skunk canyon that connects to all the Boulder mountain parks trails.

Now I have that "double rainbow" song stuck in my head...

Sounds like a nice run. Moving closer to the mecca will make you even stronger! geeze I just lost even the smallest glimmer of hope for Red Hot. Ha. Good luck with the move.

Boulder is such a cool place. That is exciting!

yeah...I am getting excited to move over there. We live pretty close as it is, but its going to be a different deal altogether living in Boulder...looking forward to it.

And Bryce, you are either sandbagging or drastically underestimating yourself, since I think its clear to the rest of us that you are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to mtn. running. By the way...cody and I already booked reservations at http://moabvalleyinn.com/index.php for the weekend of red hot...if you're getting a hotel you should consider going there so we can all hang out.

Honestly, not sandbaging or underestimating, but thank you. You've got real speed there buddy, and living closer to all those big mountains is only gonna make you that much stronger and faster. Thanks for the heads up on the hotel, I'll check it out for sure.
