Weather - 88 degrees, sunny, humid. Was contemplating an abbreviated track session with 2nd Wind tonight, but decided it would be smarter to run my shortened reps alone. The track has a new surface, I could smell the freshly laid tar in the mid afternoon heat. I ran 6 x100m hard with 100m floats. It is interesting to experiment with different training/tapering methods. There are so many different ways to get ready for a race, it is about finding what is comfortable/successful for my present skill level. Regardless of how the 5k goes this Friday, I feel strong and fresh with not only daily running, but also with the other hours of the day.
