Today I ran a mini tempo of 3 miles. First off I was up late replacing our Kitchen faucet.  It started leaking last night so I had to d an emergency repair, and go by a new one at Home Depot..  I spend a $100 on a new one, expensive but lifetime warranty.  I didn't get to bed until 11:30pm.  Basin Wrenches are wonderful for working under the sink.

Okay back to the run enough about boring stuff.
I did a 2 mile warm-up(6:47, 6:35)  Then I started in the tempo (5:58) felt harder than it should have., but I think it's because I was tired, and my back was kind of sort.  Probably due to laying under the kitchen sink last night.  Next mile (5:42) I felt better and last mile (5:47) I went uphill for a ways on this one and it was a good effort for that last mile. Then I did one mile cool-down of (6:41).  Overall I'm pleased with the effort, but I do need to get some sleep these next few days.

Kory, Sasha mentioned that you are still looking for a place to stay at St. George for the marathon - you might want to check out Coronada Inn and Suites (www.coronadainn.com). They have rooms starting at 89.99, are right on St. George Blvd, and we have had a good experience with staying there before. We have reserved a room with them for SGM. May not be a 5-star hotel, but the rooms are 2 queen bed suites, and there is a pool there. A quick check on their website reveals they might have availability on Oct. 5. Worth checking out . . .

Thanks James, I will check into it. I appreciate your help on this.

In fact I appreciate everyone else to for your help, and giving attitudes.

Did you get an e-mail about an available place for St George?

From wheakory on Thu, Sep 13, 2007 at 10:34:45

James sent me a message that the Coranada Inn and an opening is this what your referring too?

Here is the name and number of a place with condos for reservation. They may have at least one condo available as a guy up here just cancelled his 3 bedroom condo about 2 weeks ago ($300 a night, Friday and Saturday) because two of his buddies backed out. Resorts Reservations of St. George: 435-673-1392. Hope they still have some left. Maybe Steve, Kory and Ted can hook up and get one. Full kitchen, hot tub/pool access, etc. Could be pretty nice.

Any luck Kory? Let me know if you find something and want to look at splitting costs. Maybe Steve will jump in with us as well.

I got a room for $89.00 at Coronada Inn for one night. It's a two queen and both Steve and you can stay with me. I was about to book it now. Heck I'll even sleep on the floor you guys can have the beds, I'm just glad to find a place.

Do you and Steve have a phone number that I can give you a call? (of course you have a phone)

Logan's parents have a bedroom + floor space, see his comment in my blog for today, contact Logan and let him know if that works for you.

From wheakory on Thu, Sep 13, 2007 at 14:07:25

I would accept Logan's offer. I sent him a message. I was going to book a hotel, but their site timed out my session at the Cornada Inn, and have Steve and Ted stay with me. If Ted and Steve want to do that we can still do it.

Thanks Sasha.
