No running today.  I called every hotel in Logan for the Top Of Utah Marathon and not one room is available.  I guess I will not be running the Top Of Utah Marathon this year.

Kory, you can always stay at my place. It's 5 blocks from the busing area/finish line and its free.

Are you running Top Of Utah this year? I might take you up on your offer to stay at your house. I really wanted to come up to meet the fast-blogger

group. I don't know how well I'll do since I'll be running the Pocatello Marathon two weeks before TOU, but last year I run both two weeks apart and had a faster time at TOU. My family was going to come, but with not getting a hotel I will only come up. I will let you know and God Bless you for your offer.

Kory - yes, I am running, sort of. I will be pacing Jon, so will at least start the race, and will finish if I'm feeling good.

Although he hasn't asked yet, Sasha usually stays with me as well. I have two extra beds: a full-sized bed and a futon, so I figure if I don't fill them before TOU, it's kind of a waste. Believe me, we'd be happy to have you.

Kory,

I hope you can make it here. We should have a get-together for the bloggers afterward, possibly at my house for some post-marathon brats or something. I figure you could probably run with Paul and Jon for the race too. It will be ballpark what you are capable of. I myself will be using this race as a glorified long run so you will guite a ways ahead of me.

Hope to see you here.

Paul - I'd better ask now before the vacancies are taken :-) I am coming alone.

From wheakory on Mon, Aug 13, 2007 at 14:55:08

Cody: I think I'll make it down, either alone or with my family. I would like to take my family, but because there's five of us

and my youngest will be 3 years old then, I don't want to put anyone out with 5 people. I would come alone if I stayed with a fellow fast-blogger.

As far as the race pace, I don't know how I will be feeling after running a marathon two weeks before this one. I will be pushing the Pocatello Marathon hard to try to get under 2:50. Like I mentioned I did do both last year two weeks apart and was fine, but I was a little conservative in the Pocatello marathon last year. I would love to run with Paul and Jon, Sasha if I can keep up.

I really wanted to come up just to meet you guys, because you've all helped my training a lot.

Either way my goal if it takes all that I have is to get under 2:50 in one of them.

Alright, so I've Sasha and Kory penciled in for Hotel de Petersen. Kory, let me know if anything changes. Unfortunately, I can't accommodate families, but I'm happy to have you guys.

From wheakory on Mon, Aug 13, 2007 at 19:17:35

Thanks Paul,

I will let you know, but as of now the Hotel de Petersen sounds like a good place

with friendly company.

Last year I went up by myself and stayed at the Logan Inn and left right after the race (I ran a 3:02). I knew one person so this time it will be exciting to know more about the fastblogger group.
