Morning: 6.7 miles on the treadmill at home. I had to take my Grandpa to Idaho Falls today to pick-up my grandma from her eye surgery yesterday. I took the day off to pick her up and she's doing very well. I didn't want to waste time to go outside so I ran on the treadmill.  I did 1 minute at a 5:30 and it was without much effort.

Afternoon: Ran 5.54 with the dog just easy miles around a 7 minute pace, and with my daughter.

My body is a little sore and tired last couple days.  I think its because I didn't really take any time-off from the marathon and went right in to doing some fast miles.   Should I cut my miles a bit this week and next week or take a couple days off?

If you body is craving a rest, I say cut back and listen...better to skip a few miles than push too hard and get injured (especially with nothing on the line right now).

BTW, still thinking about the Thanksgiving day run? I will likely just register the day of the race (to see how the weather is). Call me if you are going to come up and we can meet up (523-0734).

Thanks for the info on my question. I really didn't take a break from the last marathon. Like you said maybe cut back the miles and run easy, and my legs should be fresh again. I'm not real sore I just feel my legs aren't real fresh even in the last marathon, but that had to do with work training I did the days before. I was no where prepared like I was for STG, because of deciding to run this one at the last minute.

I'm still thinking about going up there Thanksgiving, and like you I'm watching the weather. Where's the location?

Maybe I can stay at your pace for a little bit before you cruise way ahead.

I really have no clue where my 10k pace is right now after running all these marathons.

The race starts at Freeman Park down on the Snake River and runs around the greenbelt.
