pm—3 I was late getting a run in, and it wasn’t much of a run. The aches never subsided.

On another note, I plowed through The Stranger in the Woods by Michael Finkel. What a read. It’s about a man who left civilization and camped in the woods, virtually undiscovered, for 27 years, surviving on burgled goods and solitude. Reminded me a little of the book about Daniel Suelo.

What's the source of your feeling conflicted? I loved how the author told the story but felt the story went a few chapters too far. And I'm really not sure how to feel about Knight; I feel an admiration mixed with frustration.

Do you keep track of your reading anywhere? I find the best books from readers whose taste I trust.

I was conflicted about Knight. I wanted him to be someone I could learn something from. I wish the book had been written by Knight, not Finkel. I wanted some real introspection from the man who lived this very different experience.

I read it the week it came out. I might look at it again and reassess.
