I just got caught up on my blog. I am back home after a week of camping at family reunions in Idaho and Wyoming. Got in a few good runs while I was there.

Tonight I ran the Bonneville Shoreline Trail to the radio towers. This run is becoming my staple run this summer. I seem to do it more than any other run. It is a easy trail that I can run anytime, but has enough difficulty to still challenge me and make me improve.

If anyone is interested in joining me this Saturday, I am planning on doing a 20 mile run on the mountain trails above the Bountiful 'B'. There are some great trails up there and the route will include a peak bag or two. Let me know if you would like to join me.

So I always want to run on the Bountiful shoreline trail bc it runs just above my house, but I am so scared of animals getting me. One time I stopped to read a sign about Moose and then I saw one and it scared me to death. Snakes are okay, but I don't want to be chased by anything....do you ever see crazy animals up there? Should I be scared?

I have had many encounters with moose while trail running. Generally if you keep your distance, its not a problem. That being said, I haven't seen any on the shoreline trail. I see a lot of deer on that trail, but they won't chase you. The crazy animals are usually higher up in the mountains.
