I ran on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail this morning up to the radio towers. There wasn't any snow on this trail. It was great. I was wearing the race shirt from the 2006 Ogden marathon and passed a guy going the other direction who was wearing the same shirt. The were lots of people out running a biking this morning. Now that the snow is melting everyone wants to get in shape. But those who trained hard through the winter are the ones that will turn heads at the Summer races.

It's always an awkward moment when someone has the same shirt on as you.

True that- you can't race well in the summer without putting in the winter work!

You should be turning some heads this summer for sure. I doubt I'll be having any of those awkward shirt moments in Eugene.. unless baldnspicy shows up.

LOL! Are you wearing your button up flame shirt again trap? I think Twinkies needs to turn his head a little more on his runs. Did you see that picture I took of him and posted on my blog?

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sat, Apr 17, 2010 at 13:03:32 from 75.230.91.58

ABSOLUTELY! I will be wearing that shirt in Eugene and hopefully in Boston next year! It's not quite as cool as running with a mountain lion, but I have to start somewhere.

LOL One day, Mike, we WILL run together and will coordinate our flame shirts. My new focus is getting the courage to wear blue scrubs in a race (not a Halloween race, but a normal race) but I haven't tried running in them yet. Mike, do you train in that shirt or is it just a race shirt? :-)

Twinkie does need to look around more...that was a frightening picture, Burt. LOL That (BYU) cougar was looking right at him!

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sun, Apr 18, 2010 at 15:08:49 from 72.102.44.250

I've worn that shirt to work, church, and one race, but never on a training run.

I hope I've worked hard enough. I've done a chunk of good runs and a whole heap of hill climbing, but am I ready? Certainly not as well prepared as you Matt. You are going to kill it this year.

People are turn'en heads twice when you go by, you've got good speed going already this year, keep it up.

Thanks guys. I hope to have some great races this year.

Nice run Twinkies. Now what will really be weird is if someone shows up to one of your races wearing a Twinkies shirt.
