A sort of ladder on the treadmil. .25 at 6.3, .5 at 6.4, .25 at 6.3, .5 at 6.5, .25 at 6.4, etc. For the last mile I increased speed every .25 up to 7.0. A little "speed" is a lot easier these days than it was even a month ago. I know that is because of the blogging--it helps me to stay in the running habit.
I have realistic expectations for the half that I am doing. Even though it's not till late April, my goal is probably around 1:50, though I believe it'll probably a little over that. I do not have any plans to train hard for it. Maybe next year. For now, I just want to put in comfortable miles without too much hard work.
