An easy 3 miles.  Here's the other excitement in my life right now:

I signed my contract last week for my new job.  It hasn't been announced to the faculty, kids or parents yet, but in January I will be the interim assistant principal.  If the interim principal is hired long term (which appears pretty likely, but you never know), I will continue in the job.  I am really excited about the change.  I'll still be teaching 2 classes, but the majority of my time will be spent assistant principaling.

Don't tell anyone yet (ha ha).  The announcement won't be made public till Thursday.

Going to post a huge congratulations to you on your facebook. Do you have a facebook?

Seriously though, congratulations. All of your dreams are coming true.

Ooh that is so exciting. I just realized (after a friend of mine got a job as half principal half classroom teacher) that you could even do that! So sweet! Congrats!

Um, Burt, we're friends on Facebook. Did I tell you that's what my SIL did after we told our family that we were having another baby?

And thanks for the congrats, both of you! I'm really excited. Today's the day for the announcement. I'm a little (but not too) nervous :)
