"ran" for 35 minutes at home while the kids were napping.  It probably translates to about 3 miles, but I have no way of really knowing, plus it's like the elliptical in that I don't feel it is really running.

Then I lifted arms.  I increased weights on everything but biceps and triceps.

So by "ran" do you mean you ran in place or something like that? There's a running thing in Wii Fit and you just running place with the Wii remote in your pocket, and the bouncing up and down of the Wii remote determines the pace of your avatar. But it doesn't tell you your pace or distance.

Good job with the weights.

No, but I laughed out loud when I read your comment. I was more belittling my own workout. I have one of those Gazelle contraptions. I can get my legs and heart rate going, but it's not running.

I've seen Wii fit and I often wonder how fit it actually gets you--do you have one?

I hate running on a treadmill; I could never run in place that long!

Let me clarify: I laughed out loud because I pictured myself running in place for 1/2 hour.

Yeah, the running in place is kind of silly.

I really liked Wii Fit at first, but I'm kind of bored with it now. I do the body test from time to time to weigh myself, and I like the balance games. I haven't done a whole lot of the cardio, strength, and yoga sections. I might do more with them if I was looking for stuff to do for a workout. As it is, I'm doing good to get my running done and don't have time for anything else. I have to admit, though, the hula hoop game is pretty tough. It really gets my sweating. You just don't want to do it with your curtains open. You might scare the neighbors.
